Viruses—remove or reload?

Some viruses can be safely removed from your computer.   However, you never know the damage the virus or the remedy caused.   Additionally, the virus did not just find your computer.    Some action or habit brought your computer and the virus together.   For this reason, we strongly recommend reloading the operating system, all applications and making sure they are fully patched before reusing the computer.

In the event, you have essential applications which cannot be reloaded…then a thorough scrubbing of the machines and other security measures should be discussed.
